Dr. Peter Vanrietvelde
Dr. Peter Vanrietvelde graduated as a medical practitioner from Ghent University in Belgium, his country of origin.
He specialised as a consultant general practitioner in Dorset County, England. Moved to Australia in 2003 and worked in Broome, Western Australia before relocating to Cairns in 2008.
He joined the Cairns West Medical Centre in 2012.
He has a special interest in mental health, refugee health and skin cancer medicine. He has a special interest also in the use of technology in health care and in the research regarding the wellbeing of medical practitioners. He is married and has two children
Dr. Manju Sri
Dr. Manju Sri is a general practitioner with special interest in minor procedures, general medicine,
infectious diseases and mental health.
He earned his Medical degree from University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. His initial medical
training was in general medicine followed by intensive care in a government hospital in Sri
He obtained Masters in Tropical Medicine in Bangkok, Thailand and completed PhD in
Medicine at James Cook University, Australia. He came to Australia in 2011 and started
practicing as a general practitioner in 2014.
Apart from enjoying beautiful Cairns, he also enjoys teaching Medical students and conducting
research in infectious diseases.
